In order to attract new members, engage current members, or publicize an event, congregations need to reach out into the wider community.
How can you use marketing to strengthen your congregation? How do you convince newspapers to run stories about your events? How do you get people to read your flyers? How do you encourage current members to participate more? It sounds like an insurmountable balagan (mess)! Where would anyone know how to begin?
Jewish Reconstructionist Communities has launched new marketing resources for affiliated congregations. These materials include the Marketing Resource Kit: A Communications Guide for Jewish Congregations, Press Release Template, Brochure Template and a Social Media Guide.
Sometime this summer, jewishrecon.org will have a members-only section to provide exclusive content for affiliated congregations with these materials, information about webinars and other resources. Until this site is available, you can access the Marketing Resource Kit: A Communications Guide for Jewish Congregations, Press Release Template, Brochure Template, and Social Media Guide by filling out this form. The materials will be emailed directly to you.
Additionally, you can find examples of past congregational materials here:
- Building Community
- Flyers and Brochures
- High Holiday Outreach
- Membership Materials
- Public Relations
- Social Media
If you have any questions regarding the materials or with any communications questions, please feel free to contact Rachael Burgess at 215.576.0800, ext. 141 or at email@example.com.
